Brede School Bonaire
Four schools join at the windy landscape plot filled with cactuses, with the ambition
to create a new Place for the community. Each of the four programmatic
part contains it’s own inner courtyard orientated at the central common court.
The courts function as climatic buffer with indigineous plants, shade and water
dispersed by the prevailing eastrly winds. Traditional ‘shed roof’ houses with are
arranged to form the sculptural ensembles articulating the identity of particular
schools.
